IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
What is the Celt Login Authentication System (CLAS) and Why Do I Have to Activate?
The Celt Login Authentication System (CLAS) allows users to login to a variety of online services
at UST including myStThom, Blackboard, Webmail, and off campus Library services with a single username
and password for all CLAS enabled systems. Your username is now referred to as your Celt Login ID.
Faculty and staff will also use your Celt Login ID to access the UST network and Outlook Web Access (OWA).
See the Celt Login Authentication System page for more information and help.
- You are required to activate your Celt Login ID only once so that
you can create your new secure account profile. Once activated, you may use your Celt
Login ID and password to login to any UST online service where you see the CLAS logo.
- If you have not yet activated your Celt Login ID and you are a current or returning user, please note that
your current user name and Celt Login ID will be identical; however, you are still required
to activate your Celt Login ID and choose a new password.
How Can I Get Help with Login and the Celt Login ID?
See the Celt Login Authentication System help section for more information.
If you experience difficulty activating or logging in with your Celt Login
ID, contact the IT Help Desk at ithelpdesk@stthom.edu or 713/525-6900.
Always remember to protect yourself online by completely closing your web browser
after using any online service that requires authentication or contains personal
data!
What is Outlook Web Access?
Outlook Web Access (OWA) is a web-based e-mail client provided for University faculty and staff members to access their Exchange mailbox via
the Internet.
Logging on to Outlook Web Access
Once logged on to OWA, you
should have access to your e-mail, calendar, contacts and tasks just
as you normally would from you office computer. However, please note
that other user's shared calendars cannot be accessed through OWA!
Web Browser Compatibility
OWA is compatible with most
web browser programs (including Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari,
and Mozilla) on both PC and Macintosh. Certain features are only available
on Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
